It's time for some Frequently Asked Questions!
Shawn, why do you suck so much?
Because I'm a jerk! I am easily distracted... especially when it comes to periodic obsessions with World of Warcraft and playing around with a new project.
Could you please stop talking about your new World of Warcraft guild?
Never! Well ok. Instead I'll talk about how I'm playing my "main" again (Solirue, Level 60 Warlock, Nazjatar server). Did I tell you I finally bought my first epic mount the other day? Well let me tell you the story...
No seriously, shut up about WoW.
Fine.
So what's the deal with this dumb "Fork You" comic?
Fork You is a comic about a fork and a spoon. They talk about stuff and hopefully you laugh on or around panel four.
How often is it going to update?
Daily starting today! Seriously! It was designed as the type of strip I could do every day without losing my mind (it is clearly not a visual masterpiece or anything), and thanks to the site code I've been working with, I'll be able to upload comics in advance and they will appear each day automatically, so I can do strips when I have the time.
When are you going to do more crappy "Staccato" strips?
Soon! Between all the things I've been working on, the strip is indeed suffering, but I should be caught up with most of my outstanding obligations this week.
It seems like a lot of webcomic people have secret projects they're working on. Do you have a secret "Staccato" related project in the works?
No! Where did you hear such a thing?! I absolutely do not have two new "Staccato" projects that I've been working on that will be available around March. I don't even know where you'd get an idea like that.

Haha! I fail!
I know, what a surprise... I was horribly unproductive last week due to a video game overdose!
However the good news (at least IMHO), is that I'm really enjoying Burning Crusade! Our guild (Team Discovery), while small, has been enjoyable so far and has some real nice people I enjoy hanging out with. Here's a couple of screen captures from our first dungeon run in Ragefire Chasm.

It's probably because of the Xbox 360, but I'm pretty used to voice chat now in games, and thankfully guild member Irindar was able to set us up with a Ventrilo server for the guild, which makes doing a dungeon run like this much more enjoyable!
So yeah, if you're bored and looking for some casual World of Warcraft action, stop by Lothar (our server) and send a message to me (Sorik) or Irindar to join up.
As for WoW in general, I have to say I've learned a few things this time around. First, hunters are way more fun to play than I had thought. Maybe it's because my first (and only 60) character is a warlock and I have a lot of experience with using a pet, maybe it's because ranged weapons are interesting when used as a serious weapon... or maybe it's just because I get to have a fiesty red crab named Zoidburg as a sidekick!
No matter what the reason, playing a Blood Elf hunter is turning out to be a great time. I have to say, the BE starting areas are really well designed, nice looking, and fun to quest through. I only wonder where I'm going to move on to after I've done everything in the Ghostlands. Despite the ridiculous amount of depth in that zone, one more new zone to move on to would have made a big difference to me in this expansion.
Anyway, enough WoW talk... the other important thing I wanted to mention is that I think the code for the new Fork You site I've been working on is looking good, and if you'd like to check out how it's going swing by www.fucomic.com. Yes I know, weird domain... but I'd like to think it's memorable too. :P
I'm looking forward to getting this seperate site fully operational so I can work on Fork You and not have it conflict and confuse people who visit over here. I've gotten a few emails to the effect of "WTF?".
And finally, I just wanted to thank all the advertisers that have used Project Wonderful to advertise here on the site! It was a little rocky starting out, but now it feels like a pretty reliable system for offering ad space. Definetly better than GoogleAds.
So to thank the advertisers, I'm going to start doing a kind of monthly thank you thing where I give a quick shout out to all the sites who did some good ad runs on the site. So look for that to show up in a few days.

Hmm, sorry... kinda disappeared last week. Lot of work stuff going on.
First thing's first: I got quite a few emails about playing World of Warcraft! I guess I'm not the only person who's been thinking of playing again. I actually ended up jumping in and starting a character on Lothar (a high population PvE server) so I can hang out with my friend Adam, who just a week or two ago got the original game. Also I think Alyssa may be joining us to see if WoW might be her type of thing.
So what I've decided to do is start up a small guild on Lothar (Horde side) and if anyone feels like playing with us by all means hop on and ask me for an invite, and we'll see where it goes from there!
I expect we'll be playing pretty casually (I hope I'm not going to be pulling all-nighters on this game again) and we'll probably use Skype or something to do voice chat in dungeons, as I'm really used to voice chat on Xbox360 now and I have no interest in doing dungeon runs without it. :P
So anyway, if you feel like joining us send me a message (my character's name is Sorik) and we'll see what happens!

*Update: Scott mentioned I was doing the guild thing... and of course, any VGCats readers are more than welcome to join in. We can make fun of Scott and his freakish dislike for Warcraft!
*Update 2: You do not need to have the Burning Crusade expansion to play with us, as I mentioned Adam and Alyssa will be playing standard WoW. Hell I think you can get free 10-day trials for WoW online now, so you can even try out the game for free if you've never played!
In other news, I've started adding some conventions for 2007. Looks like Katsucon is going to start off the year once again. It's a great convention, and I always love an excuse to swing by the Baltimore area! If you're an anime fan you should check it out.
In other other news, I'm really enjoying doing these Fork You strips, so I've been working on putting up a seperate site for them! The big thing is the programming... I want it to be automated so it will upload strips automatically each day and I can get ahead of schedule and not have to worry about them. The good news is the code work I've been doing on Inksandwich (the webcomic news/blog site that never seems ready to launch) is really paying off and making this process a lot easier. I'm hoping to have a nice clean and simple site going for Fork You going later this week.
