OMG

Sophie Lousie Handyside  Alyssa and Sophie

Sophie Louise Handyside, born 12/10/2007 at 1:52am. Status: Cutie-Wooty

I got the call on Sunday while at NY Anime Fest (of course). Fortunately I got back to Albany about an hour before Alyssa needed to get to the hospital. Once there, everything probably went as smoothly as expelling a small human from your body possibly could.

I have to tell you, this wouldn't have been the case if not for all the help we got from Alyssa's sister Adele, Kris our doula, Alyssa's Mom, my Mom, and my sister Sarah. I cannot thank you all enough. Also everyone who gave us stuff at the baby showers... THANK GOD WE HAVE THIS STUFF.

So yeah, I managed to get two pictures up on my Flickr page... sadly since we're still in the middle of unpacking I STILL can't find my digital camera, so the only photos I have right now are off my cell phone (and of course I can't find the cables I need to get those from the phone to the computer!). Fortunately I think Adele got some good photos after the birth so eventually we'll have those once they're developed.

Soooo, as you might have guessed my life is now even crazier than before. We're finally starting to get back into some semblence of a routine, and yesterday I made it a priority to mail out as much as possible (shirts, fundraiser postcards, etc.) For the most part I think I'm caught up, but I will probably be doing daily trips to the post office anyway for the holiday postcards. Please by all means keep those donations coming... your cards will be sent out ASAP.

Hmm what else. Oh my new computer decided to stop turning on. HIGHLY INCONVENIENT. This week has just been nuts. My new office looks like a bomb went off. Paperwork EVERYWHERE. This weekend is going to be non-stop cleaning and unpacking I think.

You know, in-between diaper changes. -_-;

Okay I've been up way too late, so I'll try to post all this quick:

Webcomic Holiday Postcard Fundraiser!

This years postcard fundraiser is now online and ready for your donating convenience!

I wish I could have been more on top of it this year, but as you probably already know my life could not be crazier right now.

Oh and the other thing I need to mention... shirt stuff!

I haven't had a chance to email everyone about it, but the How I Roll shirts were delayed a bit and we just got them in and counted today... which means that if you've placed a preorder as of yesterday, your shirt is here and will be in the mail Monday or Tuesday.

If you'd still like to get a How I Roll shirt, by all means feel free to place an order and I should have enough extras left to cover orders up 'til Christmas.

Also I've had quite a few emails about the three new shirts which I mentioned on Nov. 15th. The reason the links were dead is because ZeStuff removed the shirts from their site after the preorder period ended. I don't think they did particularly well, but I've had a good number of emails expressing interest in two of them, so there is a good chance they may be back again on the site before Christmas. I'll try to get some more information out about that next week.

Until then, you can catch me at New York Anime Fest!

Hey! What's up?

So I'm sorta moved in to the new place... but the unpacking has been slow, what with all the holidays and side-projects and the girlfriend who can't do much because she is full of baby. Still, I'm getting there... at least I've got a few computers set up!

Also getting the 360 up and running in the living room was top priority, seeing as Thanksgiving featured some fantastic Rock Band performances by my sister, Alyssa's brother and myself. Our band is called "Turkey Syrup" and we ROCK. That name was inspired by our brilliant idea of eating turkey for breakfast the next morning with maple syrup. YUM

Speaking of Rock Band, I just need to point out... good game, even at such a high price point, but man, I got stuck with a bad guitar and TWO bad drum sets. I mean they get replacements out fast, but jeez... talk about the woes of being an early adopter! Well at least everything seems to work now... there's nothing worse than losing valuable combos to faulty equipment!

Oh yeah, so today's artwork is for a project you might be familiar with that I will post about before I leave for NY Anime Fest. Oh and speaking of which, stop by NY Anime Fest! It's this weekend and I'm really interested to see what kind of turn out they get. I get the feeling it could be real big, since it's right in the heart of NYC. Stop on by and I'll have some shirts and prints, and you can make fun of me for never updating and getting my girlfriend pregnant! Oh and if I've mysteriously disappeared it's because Alyssa is squeezing out a baby and I had to leave. HOPEFULLY THAT WILL NOT HAPPEN >___<

"Haha thanks. Yeah, it's... not easy."

November 15, 2007

Oh yeah, something I HAVE to mention now (should've mentioned it Monday!) but I have three new t-shirt designs up on ZeStuff for the holidays (one of the projects I was finishing up last week).

Fork You ShirtAccordion Hero Shirt

These three are currently in presale, and if you order any of them during the preorder period you save around 15%! And of course since they're presale they may not become permanent items so if you have any interest in picking one up for yourself or as a gift for someone this holiday season, you should place an order quickly as they might not be available for long.

Also in existing shirt news... if you were on the waiting list for "This Is How I Roll" you already know this, but they are back on preorder directly through the site. Also ZeStuff has added a new version of one of my personal favorites, "Dungin' & Dragons" in a new black "Chaotic Evil Edition."

So yeah, if you'd like to pick any of these up for the holidays now is the time!

And remember, all the proceeds from shirt sales will go directly toward feeding my unborn daughter! You don't want her to starve, right? >__>

Actually that bad joke reminded me... someone had asked if I was considering putting a donation button on the site for people who wanted to help us out with money for the baby. I'll be honest I've done okay at my last job and have some money saved up and shouldn't have any problems for at least the next three months... but if you do want to help support me and the site, picking up a t-shirt is an excellent way of doing it. You get something out of it, I get something out of it, it's win-win!
